Kunsthaus Zurich

The Kunsthaus Zurich is home to one of the most important art collections in Switzerland from the 15th century to the present day. The famous Kunsthaus also includes the largest art exhibition of Munch outside of Norway and the most complete collection of Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti.

The highlights are the paintings of the Impressionist and Modern Classic artists like Monet, Picasso, Chagall and the Expressionists, Kokoschka, Beckmann and Corinth. In addition to the pop art of Warhol and Hamilton paintings by artists such as Rothko, Twombly, Beuys and Baselitz are represented.

The medieval sculptures and panel paintings by Dutch and Italian Baroque (Rembrandt, Domenichino) are followed by the Swiss paintings of the 19th and 20 Century with Füssli, Segantini, Hodler, Vallotton and Zurich Concrete like Bill, Glarus and Loewensberg.

River Cruise on Lake Zurich

Enjoying a casual boat trip on Lake Zurich is a great and refueling experience. Our special Zurich Tip is the day cruise, which links Zurich to the city of Rapperswil.

From there the boat takes you under the dam and into the upper lake up to Schmerikon. Relax, get comfortable and enjoy the trip. Welcome aboard! The cruise runs twice a day (08:00 AM and 11:30 AM) and takes around 7 hours.

You are free to stop the cruise at any given moment or to join for just a part of the trip. Get more information about the cruise on zsg.ch.

Zurich West

Zurich West, once the place bearing the industrial revolution, is today the spot in Zurich where art, design, food, dance, culture, shopping and architecture meet.

Even though the factories moved away a long time ago, they left behind their names and vast areas of space that artists put to good use by turning them into creative spaces.

Zurich West owns the feeling of a large city and links worlds that couldn't be any more different. Founded on what was there, it's the new that bears and shapes. It preserves aspects of industrial roughness and connects them with the elegance of the free society. Zurich has its very own Westside Story to tell.
